Rawn Burnett Rawn Burnett, District Manager

Rawn is a highly skilled professional who can function on the scene or behind the scene as each situation dictates.  He has earned his present position by demonstrating a thorough command of all aspects of the food service business.  He has a critical eye for identifying problems and developing solutions.  In short, Rawn is totally attuned and committed to the satisfaction of both his customers and clients.

Rawn has worked in the restaurant industry for over twenty five years and in the university market for nearly half of that time.  Rawn is enthusiastic about customer service, and when on campus, you’re likely to see him out in the dining room speaking to customers.

You will see Rawn often – during our transition he will be on campus virtually everyday.  As time progresses, Rawn will continue to be on campus regularly, on at least a bi-weekly basis.

Rawn will focus on operations and team development.  He will review areas such as customer satisfaction, financial performance, culinary planning and performance, quality assurance and food safety, sanitation, employee needs, and other operational concerns.  Rawn will also work on future programming needs, and ensure all needed support is given to our on-site team.

Rawn lives in Bowie, Maryland with his wife, Raquel, and his twin boys, daughter and new born son.  He loves sports, and enjoys sporting events and activities with his kids.

Rawn works with the Mid-Atlantic Region and our Emerging Markets group overseeing Bowie State University, Lincoln University, Howard University, Theological College, University of Baltimore, Bryn Mawr School, Sandy Spring Friends School, St. Mary’s School, Board of Child Care, St. Mary’s Court and Friendship Terrace retirement community.

 


Kevin Conley Kevin Conley, General Manager

Kevin was born and raised in the heart of Baltimore Maryland. He comes to Sodexo with 23 years of restaurant experience. Kevin enjoys all aspects of the business, but his favorite thing to do is create Fine Dining Menus and Ice Sculptures.

When Kevin is not working he loves to mentor the youth in his community. He enjoys worshiping with his guitar and drums. He also enjoys a round of golf or two with his son or jumping on the trampoline with his wife and daughters.

Kevin’s desire is to create a dining restaurant experience at Lincoln for the students, faculty and staff to enjoy a great meal in a pleasant atmosphere, while after a busy day of classes or work. Kevin’s ultimate goal is for Lincoln University to become the premier dining account in the HBCU market segment.

 


LaMont WalkerLaMont Walker, Assistant General Manager

LaMont Walker, Assistant General Manager at Lincoln University, was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA.  He moved his wife and children to Oxford, PA in 2002. After working on the Main Line of Philadelphia in catering and entertainment for 14 years, he found his niche at Lincoln University. Here he could share his passion for fine dining and splendid catering affairs with those in “his own backyard”.

Fondly described as a “People Person”, LaMont is well known for putting a guest at ease, knowing that their function will be handled with the utmost care and attention. His ability to assess a situation and make the necessary adjustments without missing a beat has endeared him to many.

In his spare time, LaMont enjoys singing, playing his guitar, landscaping, and spending time with his family.

 


Robert YalleyRobert Yalley, Retail Director

Robert was born and raised in Baltimore, MD.  Robert’s passion for food service came from his great-grandmother while he was growing up.  From there Robert went on to Johnson & Wales University (Culinary/Food Service Management School) in Charleston, South Carolina.  While in school Robert also worked in the industry to gain the full experience.

After graduating college Robert began his management experience through prestigious companies such as Marriott Hotels, and Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland.  In 2006 Robert joined the Sodexo family, and has loved it ever since.  Prior to coming to Lincoln University, Robert worked in Philadelphia, Pa for Temple University.

When Robert is not working, he enjoys playing sports, and spending time with his family, including his wife and newly born daughter.

Robert’s desire and goal for the Lincoln University students, faculty and staff is to give them great cuisines, as well as having them involved in the process.  Robert believes the best way to have the student body excited and coming back, is to give them the cuisines that they will eat and enjoy in a pleasant atmosphere delivering on great customer service.

 


Stephon JohnsonStephon Johnson, Production Manager

Stephon B. Johnson Sr. born and raised in the city of Philadelphia. Stephon brings  15 years of food service experience in the Healthcare and Resident Dining Environment. Stephon’s expertise in Culinary Arts and Catering bring true value to Lincoln and his goal is to bring the students and faculty the best dining experience possible.

In his spare time from work Stephon, enjoys being with family and enjoys playing music and entertaining friends. Stephon is actively involved in his church and is a Director of the Youth Department and is also an Assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scout Troop Delaware. Stephon is always available to listen to anyone with concerns or idea's for he believes we all have a special talent or gift that we can share with others .
